Bio

Amber Barno is a writer and commentator. Her articles have been published in various news sites such as FoxNews.com, ForbesThe HillThe Daily Caller, The BlazeThe Commentator, and The Tennessean with topics that include national security, military, foreign policy, politics, women’s issues, and veterans issues. Amber has been featured on TV and radio programs including Fox News, Hannity, America Live with Megyn Kelly, American’s News HeadquartersFox and Friends, Fox Business, The Willis Report, CNBC, The Kudlow ReportReal News and Wilkow! on The Blaze TV, ABC News, The Blaze Radio, The David Webb Show, Wilkow Majority, and co-hosted USAA’s annual Veterans Day celebration. Amber is a Military Advisor at Concerned Veterans for America and National Security Policy Senior Fellow at the Independent Women’s Forum.

Amber served in the United States Army as an OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopter pilot for almost eight years.  She served in combat during deployments to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom and Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom. During her service as a pilot, she earned the title of Pilot-in-Command and Air Mission Commander. Amber has extensive experience in security and reconnaissance operations.

Amber has a Master of Science in Safety, Security, and Emergency Management with a specialization and a graduate certificate in Homeland Security from Eastern Kentucky University. Additionally, Amber has researched terrorism events and contributed data to the Global Terrorism Database at the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism.  Amber has a Bachelor of Science in Professional Aeronautics with a minor in Management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.

  2. Hello Miss Barno: Seeing you on Hannity, I was reminded of my daughters service as an Apache pilot in Iraq.   3. A very sharp, quick witted, but serious young, beautiful lady. She definitely is a tremendous role model for women, and all Americans. A real American hero, & hard worker. She will make some lucky young man a lucky husband.
